Our company, along with other Russians AI leaders, has agreed to take a conscious approach to the creation and use of large language and multimodal models. The declaration, which establishes ethical principles and recommendations for a responsible attitude towards generative AI, was adopted on March 13 as part of AI Day at the international exhibition “Russia”.

The document covers models for generating text, images, and sound based on user queries. It enshrines the principles of safety, transparency, ethical treatment of sensitive topics, countering abuse and the spread of unreliable information, as well as educating users about the capabilities and limitations of generative AI.

The declaration was also adopted by such leading technology companies as Sber and Yandex, as well as leading Russian universities – HSE University, Skoltech, Innopolis University, MIPT, ITMO University, and ISP RAS.

On behalf of our company, Dmitry Markov, Executive Director of MTS AI, signed the document.

“Signing the declaration on generative artificial intelligence correlates with the overall strategy of the Code of Ethics. Despite the promising effects of generative AI, the quality of the data on which the models are trained is very important in order to avoid misinformation on substantial issues of our lives,” said Dmitry, commenting on the signing of the document.
